'Unitised' Curtain Walling Systems

'Unitised' Curtain Walling differs to the traditional stick system in that the majority of ‘Installation Section’ of the Project Program is undertaken off site. Instead of fabricated lengths of extruded profile to be put together on site, followed by the glass / panels, we deliver to site fully assembled glazed panels, usually storey height, which can be installed at up to 75m² to 150m² a day.

Some Key Advantages of unitised façades

• Reduced on-site installation periods

• Improved quality of the overall installation

• Earlier interior finishing thanks to installation of whole storeys at a time

• Reduced storage requirements at the construction site

• Program deadlines more easily met thanks to less dependence on good weather

• Reduced overall Main Contract site program

Clients are increasingly looking to this off-site installation to keep ahead of changing health & safety and quality criteria. The appointment of UK based 'Unitised' Curtain Walling Sub-Contractors is a concept that is only now beginning to gain acceptance and AGF is at the forefront of these developments.

The two projects featured on this page, as well as in our Projects Section are: -
